Academic Convocation

Academic Convocation is a time-honored tradition that welcomes first-year students and marks the beginning of their academic journeys at Widener. Students will hear from a variety of university leaders including our 2025 speaker, Dr. Christine Pariseault. We'll cheer as our students cross under the dome and sing the Widener Fight Song together for the very first time! 

Faculty and staff are invited to attend and can RSVP in advance.

Convocation takes place during the week of Fall Orientation, also known as Pride Experience II. New students can learn more about what to expect during the orientation program here.
